The Jalalabad Association of America Inc. is a longstanding social
welfare organization in the United States. Founded in 1991 by prominent figures from the greater Sylhet region, also known as the Jalalabad region, this esteemed association has deep roots in the community. The name “Jalalabad” pays homage to the revered Sufi Muslim saint, Hazrat Shah Jalal (R), who hailed from Yemen and played a significant role in spreading the teachings of Islam in the region. His influence continues to resonate with the people of this area, inspiring the mission and values of the Jalalabad Association of America Inc.
